St. Patrick's Day and Japan!

The past two weeks have been two of my favorite weeks at Longleaf!

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day!

We made leprechauns!

On St. Patrick's Day, we made leprechaun traps! We were creative and had to think like a leprechaun. They are sneaky and fast, so we had to make sure our traps were sneaky. We ALMOST caught the leprechauns (there were two)!

We left them out when we went to lunch in hopes of catching them when we returned.

The leprechauns made a HUGE mess while we were gone!

Silly leprechauns made a rainbow on Mrs. Craft's table!

A few students found glitter by their trap!
That means that the leprechaun was close.

A couple of them found hats!

The leprechauns knocked over the bucket of gold!

We were SO close! We found two shoes.

We made our own Corduroy! He (Corduroy) was lucky to have a friend like Lisa. She gave him a button and a pocket of his own!

At Mrs. Craft's center a few of the kids noticed something. Can you spot it? HINT: It's a rainbow.

The light was reflecting off of the mirror, and it made this rainbow.
It was neat, and the kids got to see the magic of rainbows! :)

JAPAN WEEK
We learned about the Japan flag, Japanese writing, fan dancing, the art of origami, and sushi! What a fun week!

ARTS FESTIVAL DAY!
We made cherry blossom trees, did the fan dance, made origami, attended the tea ceremony, and made sushi!
