EASTER!

I thought that St. Patrick's Day week and Japan week were two of my favorite... until this past week. Now, Easter week has been added into the mix. Not only was it my favorite because we created a lot of Easter things, but also because of the books that we read. They were classics, and each book had a very special message and lesson!

The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams

"But he never knew that it really was his own Bunny, come back to look at the child who had first helped him to be Real."

The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter

"Peter never stopped running or looked behind him till he got home to the big fir tree."

The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown

"If you become a bird and fly away from me," said his mother, "I will be a tree that you come home to."

"I will become a butterfly and fly away from you."

"I will become a plane and fly away from you."

"I will become an airplane and I will fly away from you," said the little bunny.

"I will become a plane and I will fly away from you."

"I will become a balloon and fly away from you."

"I will become a whale and swim away."

"I will become a truck and drive away."

This was my favorite book from the week. It has such a sweet message - mother's always going to be there for you!

Wednesday was also April 1st, April Fools Day. Mrs. Craft played a little trick on the children. :)

"This is a no chairs classroom. DO NOT USE!"

The children were so confused.  After everyone got to class, they
were eventually able to get their chairs.

Pete the Cat (Big Easter Adventure) by Kimberly and James Dean

"Helping others out is what Easter is all about," Pete said.
